Ruchi is the founder of The Mind Talk, Hong Kong’s first and only dedicated mental health magazine. Launched just this week, The Mind Talk aims to provide a much-needed platform for open, empowering conversations around mental wellbeing in the city.
As a mental wellbeing coach, Ruchi has long been passionate about destigmatizing mental health discussions and making professional support more accessible. Through The Mind Talk, she is on a mission to empower readers with in-depth reporting, practical advice, and personal stories that inspire greater self-awareness and a proactive approach to cultivating inner resilience.
Ruchi believes that with the right mindset and a willingness to do the work, individuals can unlock new realms of possibility for themselves. It is this belief that drives her dedication to The Mind Talk and her coaching practice, where she guides clients in developing the tools and insights needed to safeguard their mental health and overall wellbeing.
In launching Hong Kong’s first mental health magazine this week, Ruchi hopes to normalize open dialogues around mental challenges that have long been shrouded in shame and silence. By providing a unique, community-oriented platform, she aims to inspire readers to take an active, empowered role in their own mental healthcare journeys.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Funny story, but I did not plan to start a business. However, I had an idea and just started talking to people around me. One thing led to another and here I am.
What are your plans for your business in 2024?
2024 for me is the time of expansion. I hope that The Mind Talk magazine is read by everyone and gains popularity. I would like to get my ICF ACC accreditation.
What’s that one piece of advice that you would give to those who are starting off?
Start. Write down every thought that comes to your mind. Keep a small diary with you at all times because we never know when the greatest idea strikes.
